Mirai Catalyst Hackathon 2026

Mirai Catalyst Hackathon 2026

I had the opportunity to participate in Mirai Catalyst 2026, an innovation idea competition that brought together young researchers and entrepreneurs in Japan to develop products and policy ideas addressing real challenges in Thai society.

The program was organized by the Thai Students’ Association in Japan under Royal Patronage (TSAJ) in partnership with the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI). Through mentoring, networking, and business-plan development, the program encouraged participants to translate research and new ideas into practical innovations with potential impact in Thailand.

The final pitch was held at Miraikan in Tokyo, where participating teams presented their ideas to experts and business leaders. It was a valuable opportunity to explore how research can move beyond academia, connect with real societal needs, and develop into solutions that can be applied in practice.
